The continued moves backwards, Monet was born about six years before Degas, which Shimizu's Monet was only a month ago now, asking all sort of question about whether this retro-revolution is accelerating its retrograde. Wait. When was Manet born? Wasn't that his scrotum just a couple days ago? A still seminal painter waiting to burst.
