Make it big, sprawling. Polish the room. Carpet, lighting, stages, print banal things huge, patterns everywhere. Funhouse. "Historical" references like put through a paper shredder. Place other's art on the walls to gird your own. So there's something to look at. Like history in a disco ball. Have fun with it, the carnival.
