Mona Houtom or Jeff Koons. So much power art is so violent. Its purchase providing some capitalistic transcendence of the threat, which you now own, you now exert control over, can threaten with. In marketing this is creating a problem to sell the solution. The artist offers nervous uncomfortable objects, an anxiety the collector relieves himself of by buying, the writing through understanding, the common man by crying.
