Leonor Antunes at La Loge

(link)

Some artists compress diapers into tractors. Other make lights whose "fixtures are a discreet reference to the concrete elements designed by Egle Trincanato, the first woman to graduate from the Venice School of Architecture." The point is the same, content pressed into shape, trojaned, smuggled, compositionalized, brandished. The difference is the size of the press release.

Gareth Moore at La Loge

Arrangement tableaus, primary feature of art today, an installationism's arranging maximalist attitude over-packed with Wurtzian assemblies and contraptions, and trinkets so lovable it seems like a full-on flea market of estranged toys, awaiting their performative activation, art as a bazaar. Beuys, West, Cointet, Arakawa, Tcherepnin.
